Littlefork has a population of 608 and is located just 20 miles from International Falls, on the great horseshoe bend of the river of the same name.

Logging is one of the primary industries. The trucking and logging industry employs many citizens and plays a critical role within the community. The other economic drivers for this area include agriculture and tourism.

There are ample opportunities for new businesses, business relocation or expansion throughout the community. Local assistance is available through county agencies and the City of Littlefork. Abundant, very low-cost electric power is distributed by North Star Electric Co-op, and is suited to industrial expansion.

The community, though smaller, has an active and dynamic main street, hosting over 24 commercial, retail and service businesses including a full service hardware store, grocery store, restaurants, gas stations, post office, banks, a building supply company and a medical clinic that provides complete medical services, including a clinic, pharmacy, 60-bed nursing home, home health care and ambulance service.

Littlefork is the home of the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings and the Jack Pine Savage. Littlefork has two local playgrounds and many winter activities including snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, and snow fun days. There is good hunting for bear and deer, and for pintail and ruffed grouse.
