Rainy Lake
and Rainy River
merge beneath the oldest cantilevered bridge in North America located
in Ranier, Minnesota, two miles east of International Falls.That
bridge serves as the connection to Fort
Frances, Ontario Canada and is the busiest rail port of entry in
Northern America. The small, historical village has a population of 188.

main industry in the

is tourism, custom broker services and the Northland Fishing Tackle
Inc.
manufacturing facility.
A
forty foot high "Voyageur" statue
greets you upon entering the village.There are
public parks, beaches, tennis courts, village hall, a
municipal liquor store, historical bank building, post office, outdoor
hockey
and skating rink, and train depot.Local

public docks, a public boat ramp, bicycle
